[Absolutionist]

Many years had passed since Anne had left her fathers estate in the countryside; the events of which still her haunted her every day. It was a still dark night as she lay in her bed on the top floor of the 3rd squad barracks. She tossed and turned as another nightmare plagued her mind. Every night it was the same dream. She saw the faces of her friends and father as they were cut down by the vicious hollows. In the dream she could only lay hidden underneath her bed, helpless as one by one all the people she loved were taken away. Her heart raced faster and faster as the dream came to its climax. After all of her friends and family were gone the hollow appeared next to the bed. Anne watched in terror as it crouched down and peared underneath. Its cold dead eyes met Anne‘s gaze, and just as it reeched its claw out to her, she suddenly awoke from the nightmare. She ripped the covers off and quickly sat up gasping for air. A cold sweat covered her entire body, and her heart felt like it might jump out of her chest.

Anne rubbed her eyes as she began to calm down from the hellish dream. Her heart rate soon began to go back to its natural pace. Unfortunately this had become a somewhat of a common occurance for Anne . She’s had these dreams ever since she was just a child, so over time, she become accustomed to these late night terrors. As her eyes began to come back to focus she looked out the window and saw it was a bright moonlit night. Certainly there would be little chance of getting back to sleep now. Anne decided to get up and start the day a little early. She slowly made her way to the shower and turned on the hot water. The room then quickly filled with steam. As the warm water tumbled over her face Anne’s mind began to drift back to the nightmare. She recalled the face of the hollow looking at her. The thought of being so helpless still scared her; Anne had to hold her hands together just to keep them from trembling.

After a few minutes Anne turned the shower off, and grabbed a towel from the rack on the wall. She wrapped it around herself and stepped out from the shower. She reached up and wiped away some of the steam which now completely covered the mirror. Anne’s reflection stared at her from the clean spot. She stared back for just a minute, she could see she was no longer that scared little child anymore. Anne left the bathroom and grabbed her uniform that was hanging in the closet. On her way out the door she grabbed her Zanpakuto and pipe then headed downstairs. The barracks were silent as all the other squad members were surely still asleep. With a flash step Anne headed for the door and stepped outside as quiet as possible. Anne felt relieved as she could now freely wander about the Gotei 13 until it was time to start her daily duties.

As she stepped outside Anne lit her pipe and took a deep drag. She then blew a smoke ring up towards the stars, and took off on her walk. She walked through the paths of the 13 squads for what seemed like hours. She wandered aimlessly only turning corners as she came to dead ends. Soon enough, Anne had come to a section of soul society she had not seen in quite some time. The building here looked so familiar. Suddenly Anne realized she had wandered into the Nobles district. Her families house was only a couple blocks away. All this time Anne had avoided coming back here ever since her return to the Gotei 13. But perhaps given the circumstances it was time to return to see her former home. Anne took a few turns, and before she knew it her old house was right before her eyes. It was just as she remembered despite the doors and windows being boarded up. Anne couldn't look away from her former home, wondering about the passed history of her once proud family. Surely she looked must look strange to onlookers standing there starring at an old building in the middle of the night.

One of the soul reapers stepped up beside Anne, he had purple hair that slumped around his shoulders. The red eyes peered over to the woman with a slight smile. "Its been awhile since anyone's stopped here to look at this old place. What brings you here?" The man questioned with a curious glance on his face. The building needed to be repaired for it ever to be considered stellar to how it once was.
"There are better past times than staring at a building." a toothy grin crawled across his face. It was clear what he meant by it. "What do you say babe? Lets let memories go and get a drink."

Anne was so distracted by her memories that she hadnt even noticed the young Shinigami slide up next her. "Its been awhile since anyone's stopped here to look at this old place. What brings you here?" She finally broke from her daze, and with a confused look on her face she looked over to him. That was a good question. Just what did bring me here tonight? She thought to herself. "Hmm well I'm not quite sure about that myself. Perhaps its just nostalgia, or maybe something a little deeper than that. You see this old building holds thousands of years of my family's history. Maybe its finally time to reopen these old doors.

"There are better past times than staring at a building. What do you say babe? Lets let memories go and get a drink." Anne could feel the Shinigami's hungry eyes looking over her entire body. Her gaze narrowed as she could tell what this...boy was really after. Instead of the giving him the usual beat down, she decided to let him off a little easier, and just mess with him a little. Anne walked over to the young purple haired Shinnigami. She was just inches way from him now. Anne looked deep in to his dark red eyes. She slowly brushed the hair away from his face, and slowly ran her hand down his cheek. Then in a soft sultry voice said "Oh yes I can think of a few ways I like to "pass the time"." She said with a naughty grin. " Hmm a drink sounds perfect actually" Her voice changed to a more serious tone now " but ill have to find a real man to share one with" She said as she gave the young man a little smack on the face. "Ill let you know when I find one" said Anne as she slowly walked away waving her hand in the air to her new "friend".
