Salutations Thread
Many of you might not know me so I figure I might...introduce myself a bit.
I'm known as kitsunewarlock. People call me Kits, Kitsu, TK or Sera.
I've been RPing for a little over a decade. If anyone here played Metal Machine Music, Castlevania: Disharmony, BleachForums/Isshindensetsu or BleachGotei, feel free to hit me up. I'm usually on AIM as kitsunewarlock. Its my preferred method of direct contact!
I also work Anime Expo every year at the tabletop gaming room. I'm a student at Cal Poly Pomona in California. I study Graphic Design, Architecture, Philosophy, Art History and English. My favorite games include every TCG/card game imaginable (mostly Magic the Gathering and Legend of the Five Rings), Dungeons & Dragons, BESM and Tanto Cuore. I can also play a mean game of Setlers of Catan or...pretty much any board game, actually. My non-game hobbies include tabletop game design, photography, writing and anime. My favorite anime (for 2 years running) is Legend of the Galactic Heroes, but I'm also a big fan of Madoka, Ano Hana Mita..., Evangelion and Spice and Wolf! My favorite manga is still King of Bandit Jing and my favorite continuing manga is Kekkaishi. I love kitsune, card games, studying foreign religion and debate. My favorite video games are Umineko and Minecraft.
I hate pointless introductions on AIM--a lot of times I'm not online so if you are waiting to see if I'm there before you say what you want to say...well...just don't do that. Say what you want to say. Treat AIM like an answering machine if I don't respond immediately because I'm often times running around the house getting stuff done while AIM is on. I apologize in advance if this is annoying or asking too much--I'm just very busy!
Finally: if I talk really fast it doesn't mean I'm mad! I promise! Same with using big words! If I'm mad I will log out after telling you "I am mad, let me go cool off." Finally I suffer from some confidence issues, if that wasn't apparent.
As for my style of writing: I love intrigue and plot. I'm not a big combat fan, despite my experience. I feel if I have to fight I've already lost--because I wasn't able to succeed without it. I feel it should be a last resort and keeping it as such makes the occasional fights that much more epic. I'd rather make you join my side or make you think I've joined yours and persuade you to change than outright punch ya. And I'd rather be the eunuch in the corner laughing behind his fan than the hero front and center waving his sword. I'm into theme. I'm into foreshadowing. Symbolism. Character. Plot. Quotes. Word play. Puns. Cross-cultural puns. Alliteration. Poetry...
That being said: I'm not here to find a boyfriend or girlfriend or have sex or hook up with anyone. If I leave because a discussion winds up being just about sex or marriage or whatever, its just because my views on such tend to make people think I'm a weird freak and I don't want to alienate myself from you guys because your all awesome and fluffy. I recognize the need for diversity and respect your opinions even though they differ from mine. I recognize that the world is a beautiful tapestry and all that and that we can only make it such by not rejecting those with different thoughts than your own. My characters are not my fetish. If I play a kitsune, I'm not a furry. If I play twins, I'm not into twincest. If I play a man, I'm not into men. If I play a woman, I'm not into women. If I play a child, I'm not a pedophile. I'm a chaste eunuch and I get uncomfortable when people label me differently, even jokingly, as it has lead to me being ostracized off sites in the past (i.e. new players join, hear the jokes, take them seriously and then refuse to play with me thinking its my sexual orientation; which is double frustrating since it reveals to me who is and isn't bigotted *and* isn't even true). That being said, I don't care if your a pyro-homo-necro-pedo-feca-bi-sexual. Just don't start inserting it into my stories.
That being said: I don't watch the same movies as you, unless you enjoy things made over 50 years ago. I probably don't listen to much of the same music as you, unless you enjoy soundtracks. And I don't play many video games, unless you enjoy tabletop gaming emulators. If you talk to me about any of these I will counter with a discussion on card games that will bore you senseless.
Finally: Justice and equality. I'm a big balance freak. If one race can only do what another race can do once and then they lose the power forever and get no other power to make up for it, I will get pissed about it. If an admin, friend of an admin, mod or other staffer has a power that is legitimately stronger than another, I'll be pissed. If a person has their power denied for being too strong but another staffer has that same exact power but it isn't nerfed because "we don't want to retcon it" or "its ok, he never uses that power", I will probably quit.
And that is my long winded introduction. I'm sure no one will read it but now I can point to it if anyone questions me. I will follow your site's rules and have fun playing here! Please accept me in all my eccentricities (and I hope your as crazy as I am).

Re: Salutations Thread
As Rissa has already stated, welcome to the site and we all look forward to your wonderful storytelling.
Interestingly, I myself am the same. All of, or rather I try to have all of my writing incorporate one or more of the above. I am a man of intrigue and adore any and all storytelling. However, I also do enjoy combat, but that's not really relevant.
None of us are, or at least I'd think so. Everyone has their own perspective on life and henceforth their own opinions. That's fine and dandy, however, those opinions will NOT be allowed to be pushed onto others. Everyone will keep their obscured, senseless opinions of others to themselves or risk being penalized.
You'd be surprised. ^^
No one player has an advantage to another. The system that we are working on provides EVERYONE, even those whom score poorly on their try-out, the opportunity to improve their character. We will retcon things if need be. Additionally, certain races will have differing abilities, however, those who "lose" their power will be able to regain it through several means. Lastly, said races will eventually receive their newly "discovered" powers from canon.
And finally, as along as you follow the rules and have fun...we welcome you with open arms. You're all in good hands.

Re: Salutations Thread
If you guys don't mind, please give me 1 or 2 more days to post. I'm not working on my first post now so don't think I'm slow or anything; school is just kicking my arse since its finals week (D:) until next wednesday.

Take your time. The system was changed anyways, so no rush.
